Ruth and Peter Simon, with daughter Marion Richmond, started Simeon Stud in 1956 with just one mare, Fuewasa, who was purchased from the Australian Government Stud. Subsequently Simeon Stud purchased fillies in 1976;  two Aswan fillies  from the Tersk Stud in the U.S.S.R., a Hadban Enzahi daughter from Marbach Stud in Germany, who had the first El Shaklan foal, and a Kaisoon daughter also from Germany. Of these initial purchases only two mares, Simeon Sivan and Simeon Shannah remain.

Later 27Ibn Galal v, an almost perfect dark liver chestnut two year old mare with a flaxen mane, was purchased from the picturesque Government stud in Babolna, Hungary. She was first seen harnessed to a heavy flatbed farm dray and had already raced. Eventually she became Australias first Champion Mare, as did her daughter, Simeon Sukari, and her grand daughters Simeon Salome and Simeon Sehavi.

27 Ibn Galals sire, Ibn Galal (Egypt), was a tall and handsome athlete. Her dam, 10 Hosna (Egypt) was a big-framed, correct mare who moved beautifully. 27 Ibn Galal v has three crosses in her pedigree to Yosreia and carries strong black genes.

27 Ibn Galals first daughter, Simeon Safanad, has been a breeders dream with winning progeny in the Middle East, Europe, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

Simeon Safanads first foal, Simeon Shai,  a champion in Australia, set a world record for an Arabian Stallion in Halter, in 1991 he won the U.S.A., Canadian and Scottsdale Championships and was the World Champion in Paris. Simeon Shai is now owned by Silver Maple Farm in the USA.

Simeon Safanads second colt, Simeon Sadik, is the beautiful black multi champion in both Australia and Europe and is now owned by Halsdon Stud in the United Kingdom.

27 Ibn Galals second daughter, Simeon Sheba, has progeny in both North and South America. Simeon Sheba has also produced several beautiful, black progeny. Simeon Stud has retained her exquisite daughter, Simeon Sehavi, who has won all the major shows in Australia and will foal in August 2006 to Imperial Madaar.

Spring at Simeon Stud

27 Ibn Galal v and Asfour produced two fillies, Simeon Sukari and Simeon Simona, who have become the cornerstone of Simeon Studs successful breeding program.

Simeon Sukari has three daughters at the stud, two by Anaza Bay Shahh and one by Imperial Madaar. These fine young mares have progeny in the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the USA and Europe. Simeon Sukari, still beautiful at 20, is in foal to M.B.Mayal for 2006.

Simeon Simona has one daughter in New Zealand who is the matriach of Cerzanne Arabians. No other daughters of Simeon Simona have, nor will, be sold. Simeon Stud has retained three daughters by Simeon Simona and Asfour - Simeon Shalal, Simeon Simone and Simeon Selena. These father and daughter matings have proven to be very successful. Simeon Simona and Anaza Bay Shahh produced two daughters, both black, Simeon Shatkin and Simeon Shaddai. In April 2006, as a first for  Australian Arabian horse exportation, Simeon Shalals first filly will arrive in Denmark.

Carefully adding to the broodmare band, Simeon Stud included the now deceased Ramses Tinah, by Ramses Fayek (Egypt) from Ramses Nagdia (Egypt), who has left us with two exceptional daughters, Simeon Shuala and Simeon Sibolet.

Simeon Shuala, daughter of Simeon Shai, is the dam of International Champion, Simeon Sharav, owned by Dr Nasr Marei. She is also the dam of three-time New Zealand Champion, Simeon Shemini, and the winning stallion, Simeon Sagev, owned by Jack Maritz in South Africa.

Simeon Stud have retained a lovely liver chestnut daughter by Simeon Shuala and Asfour, Simeon Shiraz. Simeon Shirazs 2005 black filly and Simeon Seona will travel to Spain to start a black Straight Egyptian program.

The other daughter from Ramses Tinah is Simeon Sibolet by Asfour. Simeon Stud has retained two of Simeon Sibolets daughters. One of these daughters, Simeon Sabaya, has a filly who was exported to Fanus Crous, in New Zealand, and has recently become Junior Champion. Simeon Sibolet also produces beautiful black progeny.

Further adding to the broodmare band, Simeon Stud acquired Raffaala,by Dalul, with an imported in-utero daughter, Simeon Seda, by M.B.Talmaar. Simeon Seda seems to have a magic cross with Asfour. Simeon Sedas and Asfours first filly, Simeon Shiri is now in Saudi Arabia, with four other stablemates at the Rakan Altobashi Stud.

Four times  National Champion of Eygpt , Ibtehag Albadeia whom money could not but and Wed Albadeia by Farid Albadeia  were exchanged for Simeon Safir who became Reserve International Champion Mare in Egypt and Simeon Sharav whose son was unanimous Junior Champion Colt 2006.

Currently Simeon Stud has three resident stallions available only to Simeon clients Asfour, Imperial Madaar and Anazah Bay Shahh.

Asfour is the son of Hanan and Malik. Malik was a stunning white stallion with unparalleled movement. Asfour, born in 1984, continues to produce foals of extreme type, with tiny ears and amazing expression. He also produces beautiful black foals. All of Asfours progeny inherit their spectacular movement from their grand father, Malik.

Imperial Madaar is the son of Imperial Madeen and Ansata Nile Mist. Ansata Nile Mist is the daughter of Falima, the lynchpin of the Ansata program. Imperial Madaar is Australian Champion Stallion and winner of major shows in Australia. He stands barefoot at 15.2 h.h. and is an extremely kind and gentle stallion with great hip and neck length and excellent limbs.

Anazah Bay Shahh, grandson of Sameh, is an exquisite brown/bay by Shaik al Badi and Bint Deena. Shaik al Badis dam was Maisa el  Saghira who was the first mare exported from Egypt to the U.S.A. to win in both Halter and Performance at National level. Bint Deena was the daughter of the legendary Deena (Egypt) who passed on her huge black eyes, excellent body and conformation. Several of Anazah Bay Shahhs progeny have won both in open dressage and halter.

In 2005 we imported Immezerise,  a yearling colt, by Imtaarif and from Bint Mareekh Amir. Immezerise is a very elegant colt with a lovely shoulder and neck and a very pretty head. He will complement the mares at Simeon Stud well.
